Abstract

Through analyzing Ying Shi,a very important figure in the Sino-German history of cultural exchange,as a case study,this article not only describes the friendship between Ying Shi and Hu Shi,but also discusses the different cultural way of Zing Shi as a Germany-returned intellectual in comparison with Lu Xun as a Japan-returned and Hu Shi as a America-returned intellectual especially through the Chinese translation of Heinrich Heine's works.Three main contributions of the first book Chinese Translation of German Poems translated by Ying Shi were concluded: 1.The academic standards of the poems translations had been summarized;2.The social functions of the literature had been emphasized;3.The native consciousness of the translation works had been shown also clearly.
