A Comparative Study of Lu Xun and Hu Shi

This thesis gives a summary of the similarities and differences between Lu Xun and Hu Shi from the ways of receiving education,doing research and from the fields of acquiring achievements.Lu Xun's achievement mainly lay in composition of novels and essays,exposing the frailties of people and the malpractice of society.Hu Shi had a more extensive scope of research,advocating literary revolution,stressing on modern education and research methods.The thesis also gives a brief account of their written contacts and their mutual appraisals.
