Abstract

A thermal conductivity model was established based on the heat transfer mechanism of the rubber filled with carbon black, and a theoretical equation was derived,by which the thermal conductivities of two types of rubber compounds filled with carbon black N330 and N134 respectively were estimated. The results showed that the estimated thermal conductivities were within the variation of experimental data when the volume fraction of carbon black was high.An experiential equation was obtained by modification on the theoretical equation.
