Abstract
Objective:To investigate the distribution of traditional Chinese medical syndrome patterns of metabolism syndrome. Methods:The clinical data of 192 qualified patients were collected, and the distribution of traditional Chinese medical syndrome patterns of metabolism syndrome was analyzed by cluster analysis. Results:Metabolism syndrome was characterized as four syndrome patterns:Qi-yin deficiency, kidney yin deficiency, kidney yang deficiency, yin deficiency with dryness heat. There were 108(56.3%) patients with Qi-yin deficiency,46(24.0%) with kidney yin deficiency,16(8.3%)with kidney yang deficiency, and 22(11.5%) with yin deficiency with dryness heat.Of 108 Qi-yin deficiency patients,86.1% of the patients were complicated by blood-stasis,and 71.3% complicated by phlegm;of 46 kidney yin deficiency patients,78.3% of the patients were complicated by blood-stasis,and 63% complicated by phlegm;of 16 kidney yang deficiency patients,75.0% of the patients were complicated by blood-stasis,and 81.3% complicated by phlegm;of 22 yin deficiency with dryness heat patients,27.3% of the patients were complicated by blood-stasis,and 22.7% complicated by phlegm. Conclusion:The dominated syndrome patterns of metabolism syndrome are Qi-yin deficiency, kidney yin deficiency, kidney yang deficiency, and yin deficiency with dryness heat, and Qi-yin deficiency is the most commonly-seen pattern.Phlegm and blood stasis can be seen through all of the disease course.
