Abstract
Purpose To observe the efficacy and side effects of Tri-therapy with domentic drugs in acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). Methods Totally 8 AIDS patients were treated with didanosine, stavudine and nevirapine combined therapy. All cases were followed up for 9 months. The plasma HIV-1 RNA lever and CD4 + T cell count of the patients were measured at the beginning of treatment and the end of the first, third, sixth, ninth month.Adverse events were monitored in all the 8 patients. Results The lever of plasma HIV-1 RNA was significantly decreased (P0.001), and CD4 cell count was significantly increased (P0.05) in each of the 8 patients. The adverse effects of the three kinds of drugs were mild during the first 9-months. Conclusions During the first 9-months,8 patients who received didanosine, stavudine and nevirapine combined therapy were well tolerated, and they all got rapid immunological and antiviral response.
