Transformation in Liang Qi-chao's Literary Studies

This paper argues that compared with his early viewpoint, Liang Qi\|chao's literary thoughts during 1920s have obvious change in two directions. One is that Liang inclines to make literary studies objectively and the other is to make literary criticism aesthetically. It is through such transformation that Confucian utilitarianism fades away from Liang's literary thoughts. On the other hand, it also shows that modern Chinese literary criticism makes various choices in theoretics and attempts various ways to interpret literary texts.
