This paper was to analyze the influencing factors of willingness to pay(WTP) for payment for ecosystem services of river basin by structural equation model and CVM datas on the case of Changsha reach of Xiang Jiang River basin.Findings of this study could be drawn as follows:it is more comprehensive explanatory power to treat external characteristics,current situation evaluation,psychological trait as the main influencing factors of WTP than traditional research regarding personal socio-economic characteristics as the influencing factor of WTP.The analytical method of structural equation model is more superior and constructive of overall than that of traditional regression equation.The WTP for payment for ecosystem services not only depends on external condition and existing ability,but also depends on psychological trait.
