Empirical Study on Willingness to Pay for Ecosystem Services of Xiang Jiang River Basin and Its Influencing Factors

This paper was to empirically analyzes the willingness to pay(WTP) of ecosystem services of XiangJiang river basin and its influencing factors by probit model and structural equation model on the basis of CVM questionnaire.The main conclusions of research are generalized as follows: first,505 valid questionnaires of payment card show 78% residents state the WTP with an average WTP of $70.32 per household/month.Second,probit model and structural equation model based on analysis of influencing factors show that factor of core characteristics has a positive correlation with WTP,factors of income,education level,profession and age are significantly correlated with WTP,while factors of gender and distance are not obviously correlated with it.Third,it is of innovative and practical significance for willingness to pay for ecosystem services and valuation of ecosystem services to find and put forward variable of core characteristics.
