Abstract
ObjectiveTo study the magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) appearances of the wrist in early stage of rheumatoid arthritis(RA). MethodsSeventy eight patients with clinical diagnosed RA were selected.All the patients underwent pre-contrast and post-contrast MR examination.The abnormal MRI appearances were observed.The diagnosis value of MR features in early stage of RA were evaluated.ResultsMRI results showed that synovial hyperplasia and enhanced pannus in the wrists could be seen in all the cases,while bone marrow edema,bone erosion and joint effusion could be seen in 65,50 and 54 cases respectively.And tenosynovitis could be found in 3 cases.ConclusionMRI of wrist could reflect the pathologic process of early RA.MRI is an important diagnositc tool for early RA.
