The Study of Relationship between Traditional Chinese Medicine Syndrome Differentiation of Hypertension and Hypertensive Renal Damage

Abstract

Objective:To observe the relationship between TCM syndromes differentiation and renal damage in patients with essential hypertension.Methods:600 hypertensive patients chosed according to exclusion standards were divided into different TCM syndromes,and related objective indexes of them were collected to observe and analyze the relationship between the indexes and the syndromes.Results:All the 600 hypertensive patients included 180 cases of liver-fire excess type,316 cases of phlegm and blood stasis type,40 cases of yin-deficiency yang-excess type,and 64 cases of yin and yang deficiency.Renal damage was the worst in phlegm and blood stasis type,while yin and yang deficiency took the second place.Conclusion:Some of the renal damage indexes can reflect the changing process of TCM syndromes.
