Study on the Diversity of the Spider Community of the Changning National Nature Reserve for the Bamboo Forest Sea of Sichuan,China

Based on random samples,the diversity of the spider community of Changning National Nature Reserve for the Bamboo Sea,Sichuan Province,China,was studied. A total of 1509 matured spiders,belonging to 25 families,92 genera and 168 species,were collected in three explorations of this region at the end of April,May and September,2008. Among them,69% were members of the spider families Salticidae (23 genera,36 species),Araneidae (14 genera,37 species),Tetragnathidae (5 genera,16 species),and Theriidae (16 genera,27 species). The results of the surveys showed that spider diversity was highly related with the diversity of plant types,the complexity and the altitude fall of the habitats. In addition,the explorations showed that both the richness of spider diversity and the stability of community reached their peak at the end of May.
