Abstract
The soil spider community and its diversity in orchard were studied in the Shanxi Agricultural University. 578 spiders were collected which belong to 30 species, 23 genera and 12 families. And the dominant spider community were, Fam. Thomisidae, Fam. Gnaphosidae and Fam. Linyphiidae. Fam. Lycosodae. The composition of species and their number were analyzed by species richness (S), number (N), diversity (H') and evenness (E). The results showed that the spider community was comparatively steady because the data of diversity were between 1.90554 and 2.33007 . And these results were analyzed according to the dominant spider community, shelter, food, temperature and humidity.
