Abstract
Objective:To investigate the role of class I integron in imipenem-resistant pseudomonas aeruginosa(IRPA) isolated from the clinical specimens.Methods:To the class I integrons were screened using PCR in 67 clinical isolated strains of imipenem-resistant pseudomonas aeruginosa from 4 hospitals in Tianjin;The antibiotics susceptibility tests of 67 strains of bacteria isolated were tested by Kirby-Bauer.Results:Among these 67 clinical strains of IRPA,46 strains(68.7 %) were positive of class I integrons.We compared susceptibility data from class I integron-positive and-negative IRPA,class I integrons were not significantly associated with resistance.Conclusion:Class Ⅰ integron is not an important reason on multidrug resistant in IRPA.
