Abstract

Aim To investigate the clinical treatment results of Ⅲ ~ Ⅳ mixed hemorrhoids with the hemorrhoidal mucosa circumcision(procedure for prolapse and hemorrhoids,PPH).Methods 126 cases with severe mixed hemorrhoids received surgical treatment by PPH from June 2008 to December 2009 in our hospital,Their operation time, postoperative hospital stay, postoperative pain incidence 24 h,postoperative bleeding, postoperative with or without infection, recurrence of patients were followed up for 3 months to 1 year and other clinical data were summarized and clinically analyzed. Results The mean operative time was(20±6.68)min.Mean postoperative hospital stay was(4±2.2)d,with low incidence of postoperative pain, less postoperative anastomotic bleeding,no postoperative infection.patients were followed up for 3 months to 1 year without recurrence. Conclusion PPH surgery is safe, effective, has shorter operative time, less pain, faster recovery and fewer postoperative complications. There is no recurrence during fo llow-up for 3 months to 1 year.
