Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationship between spontaneous abortion with chromosomal abnormality. Methods 150 couples who had a history of at least twice spontaneous abortions in Xuzhou region underwent a detection and analysis of G-band chromosomal karyotypes from human peripheral blood. Results 16 cases of chromosomal abnormalities were detected in 150 spontaneous couples,at a rate of 5.3%,including 6 cases of balanced translocation,5 cases of Robertsonian translocation,2 cases of pericentric inversion and 3 cases of chromosome polymorphism. Conclusion Chromosomal abnormality is one of the important causes of spontaneous abortions. It is beneficial to cytogenetic examination of chromosomes so as to give procreation instructions to those couples with spontaneous abortion.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
