Abstract
A simple ultraviolet-spectrophotometric method was developed for the Determination of bromate in water samples.Bromate reacts with iodide in acidic media to produce tri-iodide which has a UV absorbance at 288 nm and thus can be monitored spectrophotometrically. The recovery of bromate Determination by UV spectrophotometry was 98%~102%,and the relative standard deviation was 1.7%(n=9).The calibration equation for bromate analysis has a good linearity with regression coefficient of 0.9991.The detection of limit for bromate was 4.0 μg/L,showing that the method can meet the testing requirement.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
