A study of underground water pollution caused by wastewater from petrochemical industry

Abstract
Through the study of the lake storing petrochemical wastewater,the pollution status of the surface water,the shallow groundwater and the deep groundwater nearby were investigated.The results indicated that: the shallow groundwater had been polluted obviously,the deep groundwater was only a little affected.In order to insure the groundwater source safety,the influent water quality and quantity of the said lake should be strictly controlled.
