Abstract

Nowadays, reusing of purified wastewater for irrigation instead of fresh water has become compulsory on account of diminishing water resources. However, during re-use of wastewater, nitrate and heavy metal accumulation in ground water must be monitored carefully. This situation is much more important where the groundwater level near the soil surface. Therefore using irrigation methods with high water use efficiency is importance to avoid wastewater penetration into groundwater. In this study, reuse of wastewater (for irrigation) and its effect in term of groundwater pollution were investigated
