The Story of the King Mu was written in early times.The author is probably a historiographer,who was contemporary with King Mu of Western Zhou Dynasty of a little later.Its contents are mostly exaggerative and impractical,not being a falthful history at all.It is just a historical story written with imaginary writing skills.It portrays the image of the King Mu who takes active part in the peaceful diplomatic activities,expressing people's destre of peace and friondly co-existence of various nationalities in Western Zhou Dynasty.
