A Textual Criticism of King of Wen in the Zhou Dynasty's Proclaiming Himself King Under Authorization

Abstract
As is recorded in historica l documents, King of Wen in the Zhou Dynasty was authorized to proclaim himself king because he successfully susided Yu Rui's complaint. It is not fair of some scholar in later times to show doubt about this historical event in terms of conventional conception. For adequate evindences have been found in the classic documents in the West Zhou Dynasty and other classic written records, which are all credible. According to these sources, the approximate date was 1058 BC when King of Wen in the Zhou Dynasty was authorized to proclaim himself king.
