Expression of p63 Gene in Laryngeal Carcinoma Tissue and Its Significance

Objective To investigate the role and significance of p63 gene in occurance and development in laryngeal squamous carcinoma. Methods The expression of p63 and p53 protein in 50 cases of laryngeal squamous carcinoma was detected by immunohistochemical S- P method. Results (1)The positive expression proportion of p63 and p53 proteins in the 50 cases of laryngeal squamous carcinoma was 92% and 84% . (2)The expression of p63 correlated with clinical stages. There is not any statistical significance between expression of p63 and p53. Conclusion (1) The higher expression of p63 means the lower malignance of laryngeal squamous carcinoma. (2)p63 is closely concerned with the differentiation and expression of laryngeal squamous carcinoma. (3)p63 gene is distinctive symbol of laryngeal squamous carcinoma.
