The relationship of the clinical and pathologic factors of pediatric IgA nephropathy

Objective To explore the clinical and pathological characteristics of pediatric IgA nephropathy.Methods We did physical and pathological examinations for 41 patients with IgA nephropathy from June,2001 to June,2004 in the second hospital of China Medical University and observed the relationship between them.Results The mainly clinical manifestations of pediatric IgA nephropathy were hematuria and proteinuria.The mainly pathological change was II～III classification.The immunologic complex included IgA,IgG,and IgM,especially IgA.The blood urea nitrogen and creatinine increased and glomerular fitration rate(GFR) decreased with the higher classification of pathologic change.Conclusion Pediatric IgA nephropathy should be detected and treated early.We should make the best plan in order to maintain the normal renal function.
