STUDY ON MENTAL HEALTH STATUS AND RELATED FACTORS OF STUDENTS IN A MEDICAL COLLEGE

Abstract

[Objective]To understand the mental health status and related factors of students in a medical college.[Methods]A total of 419 students in the medical college were selected to investigate with SCL-90 and related factors of mental realthy for college students questionnaires.The original data were analyzed by SPSS 13.0.[Results]The mental health level of students in the medical college shows to be low.The main significant influencing factors of the mental health of the students were the learning pressure,relationship with other students,source of family,attitude towards love,status of love and single parent family.[Conclusions]The emphasis of mental health work should be put on the students from rural areas and a comprehensive education should be taken such as education about interpersonal relationship,pressure of study and attitude towards love.
