Mental health status and its influencing factors in medical students

Objectives To study the mental health status and its influencing factors of medical college students.Methods 1185 college students were chosen with stratification sampling method,and investigated with self-made questionnaires and SCL-90 table.Factors affecting the mental health were analyzed by single factor and multiple linear regression methods.Results 11% of the students had remarkable mental problems including compulsion,interpersonal sensitivity,crankiness and depression.The main influencing factors were self-evaluation of health,learning specialty,student source,learning pressure,experience of losing love and economic source.Conclusion Effective measures should be actively taken to solve both the personal psychology problems and study problems in medical students.
