Social Equity is an Important Basis of Developing a Harmonious Socialist Society——A Study of Equity and Efficiency in Income Distribution

Equity refers to fairness and reasonableness in the system,rights,opportunities and results of economic activities.As social objectives,neither takes a preferential or foremost position: they should exist side by side,promoting and complementing each other.Properly handling the relationship their relationship in income distribution is the key to building a harmonious socialist society.To fundamentally resolve the relationship,we should stimulate the internal driving force and efficiency of social and economic development through interests mechanism on the basis of market equity,we should stick to the principle of social and economic equity on the basis of maintaining efficiency,and we should adhere to the status of laborers as social entities and social wealth entities and safeguard their rights and interests.
