Abstract

Objective:To study the CT features of intrahepatic peripheral cholangiocarcinoma(IHPCC),and to improve the knowledge of IHPCC.Methods:The CT features of 12 cases of surgically and pathologically confirmed IHPCC were retrospectively reviewed. Results:On the plain CT scans,12 cases were of low density with ill-defined border, which showed similar-round or irregular shape;dilatation of the intrahepatic bile ducts around the tumor was seen(5 cases),and capsular retraction sign(4cases).On enhanced scanning,no enhancement or mild enhancement of the lesion in arterial phase and portal-venous phase, and piece-like, separate-like or homogeneous enhancement in the central regions was seen in the delayed imaging. Conclusion:There are some CT characteristic of IHPCC,they are useful for differentiating tumors from other space-occupying lesions in the liver.
