Abstract
Using Sevag method, trichloroacetic acid(TCA) method and combined method of Sevag and TCA to remove protein from fucoidan, and impacts of deproteinization and non-deproteinization on decoloration of fucoidan were studied. The results showed that the combined method of Sevag and TCA had the best effect of deproteinization;when operating Sevag method twice and adding 1.3 mL/10mL of TCA to polysaccharide solution, the removal rate of protein was 78.68%,the loss rate of polysaccharide was 28.89%,the decolorization rate of polysaccharide stock solution was 29.13%,and the decolorization rate of polysaccharide deproteinization solution was 85.17%.
