Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of oligohydramnios on prognosis of neonates. Methods 153 pregnant women in obstetric and gynecologic department from January 2006 to December 2011 were selected in this study. 77 pregnant women with normal amniotic fluid (normal group) and 76 pregnant women with oligohydramnios (oligohydramnios group) were analyzed retrospectively. The prognosis of neonates were compared. Results The cesarean section rate in the oligohydramnios group was significantly higher than that in the normal group (P 0.05), and the rate of perinatal complications in the oligohydramnios group was higher than that in the normal group (P 0.05). Conclusions Oligohydramnios occurred frequently beyond 40 weeks of gestation. Strengthening amniotic fluid monitor by B mode ultrasound and prenatal risk assessment, choosing correct delivery mode can improve the prognosis of neonates and reduce the incidence of cesarean section.
