Abstract
Objective To observe vision electrophysiological changes of high myopia eyes with high risk factor of retinal detachment prospectively. Methods Twenty-four cases (48 eyes) with high myopia eyes were detected by vision electrophysiological examination of F-ERG,F-VEP,and M-ERG of FOK,the results were compared with 20 high myopia eyes with retinal detachment at opposite side and 48 normal eyes. Results Compared with the normal eyes, amplitude and latent period changes of F-ERG' a wave and b wave in the high myopia eyes were decreased significantly(P0.05),but less significantly than those with the retinal detachment at opposite side.F-VEP P_ 100 had no significant changes in both high myopia groups.M-ERG' response density among 1 to 6 rings in high myopia eyes were decreased, and the amplitudes of the decreases of a wave and b wave in high myopia eyes were between those of normal eyes and high myopia eyes with retinal detachment at opposite side(P0.05).The prolongation of b wave latency between 3 and 6 rings was also between that of normal eyes and high myopia eyes with retinal detachment at opposite side(P0.05).Conclusion It is valuable to evaluate the impairment of visual function in high risk eyes with high myopia combined with traditional vision electrophysiology and multiple focal vision electrophysiology, which can detect the functions of central retinal and optic nerve qualitatively and quantitatively.
