Abstract
Objective: To investigate the use of antibiotics for child in-patients in our hospital and evaluate the rationality of their utility. Methods: A total of 1 286 hospitalized children were analysed. Results: The antibiotic prescription rate was 61.7%. Most of prescriptions (64.1%) had single antibiotic, and 35.6% had a combined usage of two antibiotics. Cephalothin, penicillium and macrolide were the mostly prescribed antibiotics in clinical use. Conclusions: The antibiotics were rationally used for child in-patients in our hospital.
