Problems Review and Improvement of the Teaching Material Exploitation and Management in the National Basic Education Curriculum in China

Many problems exist in the teaching material exploitation and management of our national basic education curriculum,including the low level of diversification,the inadequate development of three-dimensional teaching material resources,the content deviation of teaching materials,the poor coherence and tightness of organization structure of teaching materials,the management chaos of the teaching materials,too fast promotion of the teaching materials,the difficult recycling use of teaching materials,and the pursuit of fashion in illustrations,columns and types of textbooks,and so on. The reasons of these problems are mainly as follows: the deficiency in the study of textbook theory,the biased view on the essence of teaching materials,the imperfect management system,the lack of preparation in the teaching materials development professionals and their professional quality,and the weak awareness of recycling use of teaching materials,and so on. To improve the efficiency of developing and managing the new curriculum teaching materials, it is necessary to strengthen the study of textbook theory,improve the quality of the teaching materials,improve the management system of teaching materials,promote the formation of the mainstream teaching materials,optimize the compilers of teaching materials,and establish the social support system of teaching material construction by integrating various resources.
