Abstract
Taking 5#coal seam fully mechanized caving working face of Mengjiayao Coal Mine in Ningwu Shanxi Province as an example and based on theory of interaction between support and surrounding rock, determined the hydraulic support working resistance in large inclined thick coal seam caving working face through the numerical simulation method. The results show that: when the supporting strength greater than 0.95 MPa, support resistance to 6 400 kN, hydraulic support have the better effect about protective the surrounding rock and top plate,and through the itndustrial test verified the correctness of numerical simulation, the results play a role in the selection of hydraulic support in large inclined thick coal seam caving working face
