Abstract

Based on mining method and supporting process of the thick coal seam,the key technology of the large mining height and top coal caving hydraulic support,as well as its development trend and characteristics were analyzed.The advantages and application limitations of large mining height hydraulic support and the caving hydraulic support were pointed out.Hydraulic support selection principle for thick coal seam mining process along with its research direction was proposed.
