Abstract

The researchers chose the cutting from 5-year old ortet of Picea likiangensis to investigate the optimized combination of cutting root-inducing agent and the effect of different cutting conditions on rooting.The results showed that the callus began to form after cutting for 10 days,and after 40 days root tip began to appear,and the peak period of rooting and root system development was after cutting for 50~70 days.The treatment of immersing P.likiangensis cutting in 300 mg/L IBA for 2 h would get over 90% rooting rate,and there was no significant effect of cutting type on rooting.The cutting from top branch,first order side branch and second order side branch would gain high quality cutting plant,8~12 cm long cutting would be the suitable cutting.Both hardwood cuttings and softwood cuttings had obvious rooting effect,and hardwood cutting would get high survival rate and survival steckling would be prosperous and strong.
