The Effect of Qingchang Yuyang Decoction plus Mesalazine for Treatment of Ulcerative Colitis

Objective To observe the effect of Qingchang Yuyang enema plus oral Mesalazine granules(Aidisha) for treatment of ulcerative colitis(UC).Methods Totally 64 patients with mild to moderate UC were randomly divided into 2 groups.The 32 patients in the trial group were given Qingchang Yuyang retention enema combined with oral Aidisha,while the 32 patients in the control group were given simple oral Aidisha.The observed were clinical efficacy,efficacy of different lesions,improvement of clinical symptoms,improvement of colonoscopy examination score,and relapse rate within six months.Results The clinical efficacy,improvement of clinical symptoms,improvement of colonoscopy examination score,and relapse rate within six months in the trial group were better than those in the control group,with statistically significant differences(P0.05).Conclusion Qingchang Yuyang enema plus oral Aidisha is significant effect for treatment of UC.
