Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of H_2O_2 on osteopontin gene expression in rat aortic vascular smooth muscle cell(VSMC).Methods Rat aortic vascular smooth muscle cells were cultured in vitro in DMEM containing 10 percent calf serum. The cells were incubated with different concentrations of H_2O_2,then RT-PCR and Western bloting analysis were used to observe the effect of H_2O_2 on osteopontin expression in rat VSMC.Results Different concentrations of H_2O_2 could obviously induce gene expression and protein synthesis of osteopontin, and exhibited dose-dependent promotion effect. Conclusion The results demonstrated that H_2O_2 could stimulate osteopontin gene expression in rat VSMC.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
