On Extorting a Confession by Torture

Extorting a confession by torture is banned explicitly in of China. However, the acts happen frequently, do great harm to citizen's right of the person and democratic rights and violate the civilization and advance of society. Countermeasures are as followed: establishing modern procedural idea centered on due process of law and judicial reform idea based on humanism; stipulating procedures in law; improving the quality of staff in the police and judicial organs; strengthening the surveillance of procuratorial departments.
