Abstract
Objective To research the clinical significance of the changes of serum cardiac troponin (CTnI) in acute myocardial infarction Methods The contents of serum CTn and creaine kinase isoenzyme MB (CK-MB) activity were measured by enzymoimmunoassay method in 32 patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and 36 control healthy subjects, and assay the relation with those clinical characters of AMI Results All 36 control healthy subjects were negative for CTnI; 28 of 32 patients with AMI were positive for CTnI and 25 of those patients were positive for CK-MB The contents of serum cardiac specific troponin were related with the ranges of myocardial infarction and heart function Conclusion CTnI was a specific and sensitive serum indicator of myocardial cell injury
