Abstract
To the problem of the low precision of common magnetometers caused by the influence of the background magnetic field,a new fluxgate gradiometer which is based on the technique of the three-tip fluxgate and the structure-type of two sensors is developed. Its measuring systems of the background magnetic field and the magnetic grads are closed loops. It is showed by the experimental results that the influence of the background magnetic field is mostly eliminated, the precision is improved, and the stability of the gradiometer circuitry is good.
