Abstract
The system of legal assistance in criminal cases in our country is not perfect,which restricts the development of our country's system of criminal litigation.Legal assistance in criminal cases is a kind of state responsibility,which determines that the state should undertake the duty of providing legal assistance in criminal cases but shift it to lawyers.Our country's system of legal assistance in criminal cases has problems in legal regulations and operation,which should be perfected through standard self-communion and policies.Of course,the system of legal assistance in criminal cases is rooted in the whole criminal litigation system which needs to be improved to enhance the level of legal assistance in criminal cases.
