The Revitalization of Descriptive Translation Studies

Drawing on theoretical insights from other disciplines,descriptive translation studies(DTS) has in the past twenty years undergone a major reorientation,transforming itself from a target-oriented paradigm into a multidimensional model of diverse approaches.Its widened scope of research now encompasses both external norms and internal habitus.And through the establishment of large-scale parallel corpora,DTS has also succeeded in solidifying its research methodology,providing instrumental motivation for both objective description and empirical studies.
