Abstract

The Lanhe valley is a rainstorm center of the Hanjiang drainage basin,where the rainfall is uneven.Based on the characteristics of the Lanhe valley,a flood forecasting model is designed.With the calculation for the historical data of rainfall, the veracity of the parameters of the model is verified.And the model is applied to the flood forecasting system of the waterpower scheduling automation system of the Linhekou Hydropower Station.The forecasting system played an important rote during the floods in 2004. The Xin' anjiang three-source model is used to realize timing forecast,remaking forecast, estimating forecast and graph display.With the successful application of the flood forecasting system to the Linhekou Waterpower Station,the flood evolution of the Lanhe valley is realized.
