Abstract
This paper analyses main problems of urban road cross-section design now and puts forward the reasonable methods of road cross-section planning,combining the external fact of urban construction in our country and considering synthetically some factors about cross section planning,which are ground characters along streets,pieline disposal,the near and far future planning of cross section,and so on.And this modern design idea is applied to the design and planning of typical road cross-section patterns in Song Bei zone of Harbin.This research can provide reference for planning,construction and management of other new cities.
