Contribution of Tourism Development to Chongqing's Economic Growth

In order to study the relationship between tourism industry and economic growth in Chongqing,tourism industry and economy growth were analyzed with the statistical data from 1997 to 2010 in Chongqing by using Unit root test,Johansen Co-integration test and Granger causality test.The results show that: Not only there is a long term stable and positive relationship between the tourism revenue,immigration tourism and the economic growth,but also the ECM explains their short-term dynamic equilibrium relationship.Additionally,Granger causality test shows that there is a relationship between tourism revenue,immigration tourism and the economic growth in Chongqing.
