Contribution of tourism development to China’s economic growth

This study investigates the causal relations between tourism growth and economic expansion for China’s economy by using Johansen Co-integration Test approach and Granger causality test.We conclud that there is a long-run equilibrium between domestic tourism growth and economic expansion.Also,we find out there is not causal relation between international tourism growth and economic expansion at the national level.Based on the results of quantitative analysis,the paper puts forward several proposals about tourism development in China.
