Abstract

The isolation ability of AB-8 macroporous adsorption resin for total flavones of lotus leaf was studied by examining the characteristics of adsorption and desorption. The result showed that the AB-8 resin possesses higher absorption and desorption capacity. The optimum conditions were as follows: the best adsorption process is vadsorption=3 BV/h,cadsorption = 2.08 mg/mL pH=6; the best desorption process is using 80 % ethanol as the elution solvent, 1.5 BV/h flow rate, within 3 BV the flavonoids can be eluted completely. The product yield can be 59.31%by refinement of flavonoids from lotus leaf.
