Abstract
The policy towards the Xi nationality (奚族) of Jin Dynasty went through a process which changed from intimacy to alienation.In early Jin Dynasty,the Xi people got the trust from the rulers and held some important positions,and also got rid of the political chains of Liao Dynasty.Many political and military talents of Xi origin emerged.However,in the middle and late Jin Dynasty,the Xi people were discriminated and gradually became unknown.
