Effect of Drip Irrigation Quota on Spring Wheat Growth and Yield in Saline Land

Abstract

Test-pit experiments,set four irrigation quotas of 315mm,3600mm,405mm,and 450mm,were conducted to study the effect of drip irrigation without mulch on the growth and yield of wheat in saline and alkaline land in aird regions of Xinjiang.The results showed that plant height was positively correlated with irrigation quota,and plant height was the highest with irrigation quota of 450mm in the whole growth period.Biomass dry weights above ground had no obvious difference in the different irrigation treatments and changed with parabola curve in the whole growth period.After seedling for 70days,biomass dry weight reached the top.Difference of outputs between the irrigation quotas of 360mm and 450 mm was significant,and the highest yield appeared with irrigation quota of 360mm.It is recommended that irrigation quota for spring wheat should be 378mm under drip irrigation in saline and alkaline land.
