Abstract
Like the other Party members, Mao Zedong had firm faith in the Soviet Union's importance to the Chinese revolution after devoting himself to the revolution. In order to frustrate the Japanese aggression, seeking the support of the Soviet Union became the nuclear contents of Mao Zedong' s diplomatic strategy toward the Soviet Union. Mao Zedong' s strive for diplomacy made great historic significance in the final victory of the war against Japan; on the other hand, it resulted in negative influence due to the wrong judgment of the situation.
