Abstract
The purified bentonite in Jianping was modified.The influence of the ratio of Li2CO3 and H2C2O4,reaction time,pH value,reaction temperature,bentonite concentration on the modification was studied.The swelling rate and X-ray diffraction pattern of the bentonite were tested.The results show that the best conditions for lithium modification is the value of pH between 7 and 8,the ratio of Li2CO3 and H2C2O4 is 0.8,the reaction time is 1.5 h,the reaction temperature is 80 ℃ and the bentonite concentration is 10%.The suspension property of the lithium bentonite has been greatly improved.
